AboveNet Names MaryBeth Nance Director of Business Development

NEW YORK, June 28, 2005 – AboveNet, Inc., a premier metro network access provider for businesses, announced today that industry veteran MaryBeth Nance has been named Director of Business Development for AboveNet Communications. In this new position, Nance is responsible for leading and growing AboveNet’s opportunities consistent with AboveNet’s fiber connectivity strategy. This includes developing strategic relationships and opportunities with national, regional and local systems integrators. In addition to developing new alliances, Nance will also spearhead the development of complimentary storage and disaster recovery solutions over AboveNet’s premier fiber optic metro network.

Nance has nearly a decade of sales and business development experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to her new position at AboveNet, she was director of sales and program management at Last Mile Connections. In this role, Ms. Nance was responsible for growing Last Mile Connections’ national telecommunications alliances. Ms. Nance also held several sales and business development leadership roles at QOS Networks, Teleglobe International and Cable & Wireless respectively.
